VNDirect Securities, the newly listed member on the bourse, made an impressive improvement to gain the second position in the list with 5.651% market share in the second quarter, up from 4.53% in the first one.
Thang Long Securities Company remains Vietnams biggest stock broker on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) after taking the lead in providing 13.092% brokerage services on the bourse, the bourse said on its website.
The Military Bank-backed broker took 8.452% brokerage services on HNX last year, quickened it to 10.7% in the 4Q2009 and 11.94% in the 1Q2010.
Thang Long Securities is the fifth biggest broker in terms of charter capital. The company has a charter capital of VND1 trillion, staying behind SSI (VND1.755 trillion), ACBS (1.5 trillion), Agriseco (VND1.2 trillion) and Sacombank-SBS (VND1.1 trillion).
The broker also took the top place in brokerage service provider on HoSE from 2009 to 2Q2010 with 10.58% market share on the primary stock exchange.
The surprises in the top ten broker list came from the rest with names of the new emerging brokers and the disappearance of the former ones.
FPT Securities (FPTS) stepped down to rank third with 4.493% brokerage market shares, down from 4.73% in the first quarter of this year.
Sacombank Securities (STBS) made 3 advance steps to be the fourth biggest broker in the second quarter with 4.382% market shares compared with its 3.25% in the first quarter.
Ho Chi Minh City Securities (HSC) remained its fifth place in the list with 4.345% market share in the second quarter, slightly higher than its 4.32% in the first one.
Other top brokers in the list are Sai Gon Securities (SSI) with 3.976%, APS with 3.146%; ACB Securities (ACBS) with 2.559%, An Binh Securities with 2.352% and Hoa Binh Securities with 2.284%.
